Thaggesh Subsector: The Thaggesh Subsector has an estimated population in
1202 of approximately 1.06 billion, a decline of 93% from its Pre-Collapse
population. Its highest population is 535 million at Luukon, and its highest
tech level is 9 at Thaggesh. The Thaggesh (Anakod) Subsector had an estimated
population in 1117 of approximately 16.23 billion. Its highest population was
7.9 billion at Jana, and its highest tech level was 15 at Arklin, Anakod and
Diikaras.
Thaggesh (2530) survived in no small part due to the fact that the 241st
Fleet was present insystem during the Collapse. About a third of the ships
managed to avoid viral contamination and valiantly succeeded in destroying the
rest of the fleet. The few surviving ships served as system defense against
Virus for awhile, but have been completely depleted since then. The system
maintains only a few squadrons of SDBs for its defense today. In addition to
the aid of the fleet, Thaggesh survived due to the unique use of technology by
its inhabitants. Technology is primarily controlled by a priest/technologist
class, who maintain strict guidelines on the use of any and all advanced
technology on the planet. Refer to the Thaggeshi section
for additional information. Thaggesh stands as a remote bastion of human
civilization amid the ruins of the Wilds.
Wimorel (3129) features an Ancient Site that has only a few ruins
attributable to the Ancients, but it has a great many ruins of a stone age
culture that apparently coexisted with the Ancients, under their protection,
and shared their fate in the Final War. The current inhabitants descended from
animals that were near intelligence when the other two races were wiped out.
Their numbers are rather small, but the Kolzair are inventive and determined.
They are roughly humanoid, but have scaly skins and a low body temperature. The
Kolzair are now the solitary sentient inhabitants of the planet.
